May 2009- Austin Tornadoes, Hail and Water Damage - Residential Roofing Austin
When severe Thunderstorms roll in, weather can get very unpredictable. When Austin recently was hit with tornadoes, large, damaging hail and strong winds from the thunderstorms, hundreds of homes received varying degrees of damage. These events can be very disruptive to your routine and many homeowners do not know what to do first. The stress often becomes overwhelming. For the dozens of clents that called All-Tex Exteriors, the stress and pain of dealing with insurance was passed directly over to our resident Storm Expert, Stephen Marsaglia. Steve visited each client, assessed the degree of damage, prepared estimates, worked with the insurance adjuster and personally walked the client through the claims process, taking many of the tasks on himself. Our clients were relieved to know that All-Tex Exteriors offers this service. Afterall, don't you have enough to do? Hand off the stress and scheduling work to All-Tex. All-Tex Exteriors offers the same level of service to commercial building owners through our division, All-Tex Commercial Construction.

March 2009- Large Habitat for Humanity Donation - Replacement Windows Houston
On a recent Window Replacement job in Friendswood, TX, we ended up with over 20 windows that were in good shape and in nearly new condition. Realizing the condition they were in and the value they would have have at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Houston, we instructed our installer to use extra caution when removing them. We then called the Habitat for Humanity to arrange for a pick up on site at our client's home. They were delighted to receive this large gift and picked them up the next day. It makes us feel good that we were able to salvage these windows and have them go to a good cause. Re-use is also a great way to reduce waste in our landfills. Everybody wins!

February 2009- GoodWill Industries - Waste Reduction and Green Building
We recently cleaned out some old storage space and ended up with outdated equipement (printers, computers and other periperals) and wonded what to to with all this equipment. Should we hold a garage sale? Should we throw it away? Well, I started to research and found that GoodWill Industies has an Electronics store on Westheimer where they repair computer equipment, sell parts and peripherals and anything that can not be sold for charity gets torn down and recycled. The store's concept fit quite well with our own values. We researched how to get our equipment to them and put together the list. I then took it all down to the donation station to some very happy clerks. I am sure someone else, a student perhaps, is using one of our older computers or printers right now. Maybe a school or daycare center that could not afford to buy new equipment. I applaud GoodWill Industries for developing this concept store and offering it as an alternative to us and other companies in the area.
