Our project was delayed and discouraging at the... start where we had a very difficult time with the City of Houton to get our permit approved. We weren't aware at the time, but our side-street is a designated thoroughfare, which prevented us from building within a certain distance from it. Russell helped us navigate the process, and was extremely helpful building the variance request signs in our yard to get the final approval.Once the permit was given, they were quick to get started and build our porch. We worked with All-Tex on a six-week full exterior renovation of our home - replacing and extending our covered patio... and deck, replacing roofing material, adding Hardie siding, installing new windows, painting, and replacing our concrete driveway and front walk. Russell visited with us a couple of times to understand our needs to discuss options, and provided initial estimates. He followed up periodically to ensure that our requirements were being met. Pedro oversaw the work crews and sub-contractors and was extremely diligent in ensuring that the work was being done to our satisfaction. We found the overall quality of the work to be quite good and were very satisfied with the final results. This was a big job and fairly expensive, but while we might have been able to save a little had we subbed out all of the work piecemeal, we found the coordination, planning and work quality provided by All-Tex to be a reasonable value.read more

Excellent job of removing old patio cover that was not directly attached to home, and integrating new, seamless patio... addition that will allow year round all weather use. Included relocation of electrical outlet and installation of ceiling fan (purchased separately), Price quoted, was price paid. As the rear of my house and roof design had many angles, I was amazed that they were able to design and mold into the home as if it was originally built in in the initial construction process. I've had a lot of contract work done, add-ons, windows, etc.., and these guys are by far the best. Very professional,... cleaned up everyday, and finished the job in less than 10 days. It was a big job too, 27'x27' porte cochere and 12'x22' cover for the side of the garage. Everything matched the home and looked like it belonged there. A year before this project I hired... another fairly large contractor in the Houston area to do the siding and roof at my home in League City, and it was a nightmare. I was very gun-shy about the process when my mother's house in Humble needed a new roof and windows. I vetted contractors by reading plenty of online reviews and got estimates from the 5 contractors with the best online reviews. All-Tex came in with the best value (not the cheapest, but definitely the least expensive for the same quality materials). Once we signed the contract the job went as smooth as I could have hoped. They scheduled everything in a timely manner, turned out an excellent work product and even helped my mother take care of the heavier items when preparing the home area for the work. The team was excellent, respectful and did a great job! I highly recommend and will definitely use them again if a need arises!read more

We had a great experience with AllTex. I had three bids from local providers. AllTex quote was not the lowest but... Russell's communication and prompt response to our phone calls and emails seal the deal for them. We end up getting a 16 x 13 Solaview Aluminum Pergola. After the order it took them six weeks to come and install the Pergola in one day. They Rederred is to a bank that gave us loan for 365 days interest free. Their construction manager, Brian, is one of the most hard-working and honest contractor I have dealt with in years. He came on time with his crew and communicated throughout the day about the install came back in a few days and installed our fan and finished the job ( we did not have a fan for him on the day of the installation). Overall, start to finish, we had a great experience and extremely happy with their services. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend AllTex to my family and friends.read more

We recently completed a covered patio project for our home with All-Tex Exteriors, after getting bids from several... other companies as well. Working with Mr. Aleck Miller, we described what we wanted, and we must say, the finished project was exactly what we had in mind. My wife and I have been practically living on the patio since it was completed. We have had contractors working in our house before, and I can say that All-Tex's crews were, by far, the hardest working and most efficient crews we have had the pleasure of doing business with. (Don't get me started on the painting contractor we used two years ago to repaint the interior - what a nightmare !!). I was able to watch as our patio went from a "postage-stamp" 10x10 slab, with no shade or cover, to a beautiful 22 x 13 covered patio complete with Gable roof with beautiful woodwork, with recessed lighting / ceiling fans / electrical outlets, and it looks as if it was built when the house was new. New controls were added to the existing ones to control the fans and recessed lighting, and their electrician added a new breaker to our box to handle the extra load. They were able to match the existing 30-year old red brick almost exactly, as well as the roof shingles, so there is no obvious division between old and new, and in fact, the house looks young again. No major construction / reconstruction project is without its hiccups, and major rain in Houston while the project was going on did not delay the project to any notice (gutters took a few extra days due to rain delay), and any minor issues were immediately addressed by Aleck, who promptly returned all communications and got things moving. In fact, when the original flood lights we purchased were installed, they proved to be defective almost immediately out of the box (thank you, Lowe's...) and Aleck's electrician came back out and took the bad ones down and re-installed sconces that we bought at Home Depot to replace them. The crew did their best to clean up at the end of every day, and we would have liked for them to have gone through the yard with a magnet on the last day to catch any loose nails, as we have dogs, but that is a minor point and we found very few that needed to be picked up. The crew worked as a team, and with precision / accuracy / and assembly-line-like skill. Unlike our paint crew from two years ago, who were on break every time we turned around (when they bothered to show up at all), these guys worked hard from morning to night, and the project was completed on time, despite the rain !! We would recommend All-Tex, and in fact, while our project was going on, we referred a family member to All-Tex and they had their house repainted and guttered.Thank you, Aleck / Ramiro & crew / Daniel / Gio.....read more

ALL-TEX HOME IMPROVEMENT SERVICES did a great job on Our Patio and Pergola. They made very helpful recommendations... regarding the design and did the entire installation of the pressed-stone concrete patio, with knee walls, and wood-grained aluminum pergola within a period of three days. This included modifying the location of 2 sprinkler system control vales and one sprinkler head The drawing provided enabled us to get quick approval from the architectural review committee for our neighborhood. Our sales consulting/coordinator (Aleck Miller) provided rapid and complete responses to all of our numerous questions regarding design and installation. The construction crews worked very efficiently and were careful to protect against any damage from the construction. Our sales rep, Russell visited with us and we described to him what we wanted. As he review our space, he confirmed... that what we were asking was able to be done, including the hiding of all electrical wires.We also pointed out that we wanted to move our security camera from one side of the back porch to the other. Russell said that since they had to open up that area, they would leave it open so the security people could move the camera. Lucky for me, Bryan (in charge of our construction project by All-Tex) was there when the security person came to move the camera. Security said he could not do it and Bryan told him how to do it. It was moved without issues. I felt this was beyond the scope of the construction, but was done to accommodate the customer and added no cost to the project, but saved me a lot of money on moving the camera. - Excellent customer serviceThe other quotes I received were " This is how we do it, there are no other options"and I did not like there options as they were not what we described how we wanted it to look.I highly recommend All-Tex for your covered patio project!!read more

We were fighting an outright attack on our home by very aggressive squirrels, chewing through our old siding and taking... up residence in our attic. After 32 years it was high time to replace the original "paper" siding anyway and repaint the place.After the obligation-free quote, sales was unobtrusively persistent, which helped keep this hefty, yet ever-so-needed expense from being shied away from. He was very knowledgeable, incredibly responsive, polite and available. The 2 man crew took 11 calendar days from start to finish on our small home which spanned 2 weekends and included 1 rain day. I didn't realize the time investment required on my part to be present to render the occasional decision, but I guess that's just the nature of the beast if you want to assure a specific outcome. I had some wiring projects that I wanted to perform as the siding was being exchanged and they were very accommodating to permit me to run those while they attended to other needs. My wife was occasionally at home with them while I was away and she was very comfortable with their demeanor; never felt "wandering" eyes, so to speak. And believe me, if there was reason for concern she would have sensed it. So I was not worried about leaving things with her oversight. They did a reasonable job of cleaning up at the end of each day and were very diligent on the final day to go over the final product to assure all the details were to my expectations. The house is sealed up tight now and the squirrels seem to have disappeared, not only from my attic, but from my yard as well. Adios critters!This concludes a house-leveling, window replacing, siding restoring house-year and we feel very good about the investments.All-Tex is, without doubt, a first class operation.read more

It had been about 12 years since we had the outside of our house painted and we were looking for a painting contractor.... Years ago we had All-Tex Exteriors replace the siding on our house with Hardiplank. Then, they painted. They did a great job.When we first looked to find All-Tex for work this time (2015), we could not immediately find them. After searching online over several weeks we finally found they had changed their name to be "All-Tex Home Improvement" (rather than "Exteriors").We had All-Tex Home Improvement come out to give us an estimate for painting the entire exterior of our house, and confirmed we were dealing with the same company we had used in the past (we were). We were really excited to have found them -- again. And, during the pre-work walk-through, we found out that the guys doing the painting work were the same ones that did the painting the first time.The painting crew came on time and did an excellent painting job, which included replacing wood trim, taking down and painting shutters, covering patios and outdoor furniture, and protecting the flowerbeds. They cleaned up every day. We even had additional gutters put up (gutter specialist crew) and leaf-guards installed. They did everything stated on the contract and exceeded expectations on all aspects of the work.Overall, the entire experience is just how we remembered it from years ago -- great. Everything was professional from calling them for an estimate to job completion. Aleck stayed in touch with us by phone and email from beginning to end, and was always available. He was fun to work with and he delivered everything he said he would.Everyone needs a "go-to" contractor for different kinds of work, and All-Tex has been and is our go-to contractor for anything we may do to the exterior or interior of our house. And, we are really happy they are still around to call when we need some work done.Would we call All-Tex again? Absolutely.read more

I have used All-Tex for several home improvement projects. I have added a wonderful patio with cover and concrete... slab. All-Tex also took care of all of my recent repairs from a hail storm. They replaced my roof and my gutters. They are wonderful people. They are always courteous and professional. Their response time is amazing and they have great communication. Aleck was my contact person and he is great. You can call him and he actually answers the phone and addresses your question. You can also email him and he will email you right back. I know this seems like a small thing, but it really provides the customer with a sense of confidence in the project. Overall very happy with all of my projects and the service provided. We wanted to extend our patio deck and also screen in the already covered portion of our existing patio. We obtained 3... estimates. We chose All-Tex because our sales associate, Russell Ahmann, was very knowledgeable and helpful and his estimate was at the middle of the 3 we obtained (but closer to the lower estimate). He provided everything we needed to submit the plan to our POA and he put us on their schedule. As soon as we were approved, we let him know and the entire project was completed in December. All construction projects have challenges and changes weather delays etc. etc. During this process I emailed or phoned Aleck Miller over 40 times. His quick responses and followup where like clockwork and is the mark of a true professional. As we are fairly new to the area we did obtain multiple bids and the All-Tex bids were also the best for comparable work. Used All-Tex to replace some siding on our home. Scope included demo of old siding, repair insulation, install vapor... barrier, replace old single pane windows with double pane, install new hardi-plank and paint. Very competitive pricing. installed hardi-plank "butt-trim" method and did not have to debate that this was the way to install hardi-plank or pay more for it. They were also reasonable on scope changes once project was underway (e.g. water damage repair). I'm definitely including them routinely on bid list for future scopes.read more

We were extremely pleased with the repair work done on our termite damaged home that required walls, studs, insulation,... & painting performed inside & outside of our home.We also had all the siding replaced & painted & 2 doors replaced & painted. Ahmann, showed up early or on time for both meetings we set up, which is a rarity in our experience with contractors in Houston. Not only was he on time but very knowledgeable about their offerings, as well as being consultative in his approach.Additionally, the installers showed up early and knocked out the job in 4 hours. I recently had my first experience with All-Tex. I hired them to enclose a small patio on the back side of my home. ... Overall, it was a very positive experience. I was a little fuzzy about the details of the project. I had a few specifications; but, needed some help with the details. The sales rep provided good suggestions and helped with the details. The quote was not cheap; but, was reasonable for quality work. The construction team had to deal with some weather issues; so, scheduling was a little challenging. In spite of that, the project was completed in a very satisfactory amount of time. The construction team had all the skills required to complete the job from start to finish. All-Tex even handled the electrical work we needed. We really like the new sunroom and have plans to use All-Tex again in the future. Based on our experience we highly recommend them.read more
