My beat up old aluminum 16x16 deck cover needed replacing, so I contacted All Tex Home Improvement Services. They had a large variety to choose from and I chose a rugged elegant design with insulation against our Texas sun. I had... to wait a month for the modular system to be delivered from Florida, but a worker came out and spent three days carefully removing the old cover and installing the new. He took particular care sealing the cover against the house to avoid leaks or water issues. He was neat and professional, replacing some old wood and painting so everything matched. Note that this modular system from All Tex was expensive--about twice what I expected, but they quoted the price up front and there were no surprises. Today there was a good rainstorm and the new cover is tight and dry. Good stuff!read more

We had a great experience with AllTex. I had three bids from local providers. AllTex quote was not the lowest but Russell's communication and prompt response to our phone calls and emails seal the deal for them. We end up getting... a 16 x 13 Solaview Aluminum Pergola. After the order it took them six weeks to come and install the Pergola in one day. Russell referred us to a bank that gave us loan for 365 days interest free. Their construction manager, Brian, is one of the most hard-working and honest contractor I have dealt with in years. He came on time with his crew and communicated throughout the day about the install. He came back in a few days and installed our fan and finished the job ( we did not have a fan for him on the day of the installation). Overall, start to finish, we had a great experience and extremely happy with their services. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend AllTex to my family and friends.read more

My experience with All-Tex Home Improvement was fantastic. I request four quotes for a patio extension with an entire roof and screens along the area. Also, installing a french door with inside glass blinds and replacing the old... patio door with one of our current windows. All-Tex was not the cheapest one but also was not the expensive one, right in the middle. Reviews and projects known with them make us select All-Tex.Russell Ahmann, an All-Tex contractor, was precise with all the quotes requested to him. It was in such detail that nothing was out of context. Processes and phases were very straightforward. There were some actions not included in the contract, and they were described in detail. The agreement was so completed that the price specified was what I paid at the end.There were some delays but not because of improper handling from All-Tex nor Russell. The main delay was our H.O.A which took almost 30 days to approve the project. However, Russell Ahmann presented all the project drawings so clearly that the H.O.A. could not reject them. Other minor delays were because of material shortage in which, again, All-Tex could not do anything with something that was happening in all the states caused by COVID.Construction-wise, Russell Ahmann foreman was very experienced in all phases of the project, from cement to wood to electricity to paint. In addition, the materials used for the project were discussed with me to approve or not for design and specifications. In the end, the project was delivered without any detailing or surface problems.I would recommend All-Tex and Russell Ahmann here in Katy, Texas, for any home improvement, and I will gladly show the project they made at my home. I am happy with my decision to use All-Tex.read more

We had a roof built over our back patio. Previously there was a small covered breezeway connecting the garage and main house. They were able to build the roof extension off the back of the house and tie into the garage. Our... request is that it would look seamless and as if it had been original to the home. They did a fantastic job. The project manager (Aleck) was very responsive and easy to reach and did a good job coordinating everything. Start to finish was just over a week, and the main framing and shingling was done in about 2-3 days. Our project was delayed and discouraging at the start where we had a very difficult time with the City of Houton to get our permit approved. We weren't aware at... the time, but our side-street is a designated thoroughfare, which prevented us from building within a certain distance from it. Russell helped us navigate the process, and was extremely helpful building the variance request signs in our yard to get the final approval.Once the permit was given, they were quick to get started and build our porch. Russell kept us up to date on the progress, and his crew took care of our property and didn't leave a mess at the end of a work-day. We now have a covered, screen-in area we can enjoy bug-free. We worked with All-Tex on a six-week full exterior renovation of our home - replacing and extending our covered patio and deck, replacing roofing material, adding Hardie siding, installing new windows, painting, and replacing our... concrete driveway and front walk. Russell visited with us a couple of times to understand our needs to discuss options, and provided initial estimates. He followed up periodically to ensure that our requirements were being met. Pedro oversaw the work crews and sub-contractors and was extremely diligent in ensuring that the work was being done to our satisfaction. We found the overall quality of the work to be quite good and were very satisfied with the final results. This was a big job and fairly expensive, but while we might have been able to save a little had we subbed out all of the work piecemeal, we found the coordination, planning and work quality provided by All-Tex to be a reasonable value.read more
